This week's Your Nerd Side Show:
Corenswet attended The American Playwrighting Foundation's special benefit event on Nov. 5, 2023. According to the event's website, plays by WGA writers were performed by stars that included Corenswet, Kevin Corrigan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Griffin Dunne, K. Todd Freeman, Alfie Fuller, Tavi Gevinson, Michael Godere, Hari Nef, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Tramell Tillman, and more, with the award created to support the striking WGA writers. In pictures by photographer Annie Watt, Corenswet's new bulked look was captured at the event, with the star drawing widespread comparisons to former Superman and The Witcher star, Henry Cavill.
Corenswet's transformation has been rapid, with the star far slimmer only one year ago. It's not the first time comparisons between him and Cavill have been made, with a report revealing that the link had made its way all up to Corenswet's employers, DC Studios, which reportedly had no issue with it. Some fans saw Corenswet's rapid bulk as a testament to his effort to prepare for the role. Ant-Man's Paul Rudd recently spoke about how "horrible" these training regiments can be when he revealed his reward for the day was often sparkling water. Harry Potter fans will also recall being similarly stunned after Daniel Radcliffe's body transformation for his Miracle Workers TV series.
Superman: Legacy's Plot Remains Unclear

Gunn will direct from his screenplay based on characters from DC. Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
