Acclaimed voice actor and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast star George Lowe has tragically passed away.
Lowe's passing was confirmed by AV Club writer Will Harris on social media. The Adult Swim legend and iconic voice of Space Ghost during the character's animated late night talk show revival series was 67 years old at the time of his passing.
Harris wrote, "Just learned from one of his friends that George Lowe, voice of the titular character from Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, has died. R.I.P., George.

Born in 1957, Lowe's voice acting career began taking off in the late 1980s, during which he provided various voices for TBS, which eventually led to addition voice work for Cartoon Network the following decade. Though these minor roles were largely uncredited, his role as Space Ghost on 1994's Space Ghost Coast to Coast proved to be a breakout moment for Lowe. Throughout his time as Space Ghost, Lowe starred as the voice of the character for twelve seasons, more so than any other actor to ever take on the character. Lowe also appeared as the voice of Space Ghost for multiple spinoffs, including Cartoon Planet and The Brak Show, and even in 2007's Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters.
Marvelous Marvin, a close friend of Lowe and professional radio host, said in a statement, "I'm beyond devastated. My Zobanian brother and best friend for over 40 years, George Lowe, has passed away after a long illness. A part of me had also died. He was a supremely talented Artist and Voice actor. A true warm-hearted Genius. Funniest man on Earth too. I've stolen jokes from him for decades. He stole some of mine. He was also the voice of Space Ghost and so much more. Pweeloto."
