The first images of Moses Ingram's Star Wars villain in Obi-Wan Kenobi have surfaced.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Ingram plays an Inquisitor named Reva (previous reports suggested this character was the Third Sister, which may still be the case). The character is described as "ruthlessly ambitious," with Ingram explaining that she, the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Vader "share a common dark-side goal. They're on the same team."
It's been known for some time now that Obi-Wan Kenobi would introduce live-action versions of the Inquisitors -- the Jedi-hunting, Force-sensitive faction most fans remember from Star Wars Rebels. However, despite an earlier video of Ingram partaking in lightsaber training, her role in Kenobi has been shrouded in mystery.
Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with the titular Jedi in hiding on Tatooine after the fall of the Republic and the Jedi Order. Notably, the show features not only the return of Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan but Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
"I think it's no secret that Hayden Christensen comes back and we got to play scenes together again as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker and it was great to work with him again," McGregor recently said. "I'm not going to give away anything else about the storyline, only I think it's really going to satisfy Star Wars fans. I think we crafted, or they crafted a very fine storyline. I think people are going to like it."
"The thing that was most exciting was being on the set and watching the two of them get excited," Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy said while discussing the reunion between McGregor and Christensen. "They hadn’t seen one another in a long time. I was surprised at just how incredibly emotional it was for each of them to find themselves back in these roles, and just realising how important Star Wars was to each of them. It was the beginning of their careers."
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres May 25 on Disney+.
