The next Transformers series is on its way, with the new show titled Transformers: Cyberworld. Set to be released on YouTube, this animated venture will involve Transformers from different universes in a mecha anime-inspired series.

First "revealed" in 2024 through product listings, Transformers: Cyberworld has now been unveiled. The series appears to include iconic Autobots in its cast, along with a Decepticon who may be Megatron. There will also be a further unveiling at an upcoming toy event, giving fans a closer look at the next stage in the franchise.

Transformers: Cyberworld Rolls Out to YouTube and Nuremberg

Initially revealed through X (formerly Twitter), more information on the upcoming Transformers: Cyberworld is now being rolled out. The first several images have shown iconic Autobots Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and the Dinobot leader, Grimlock. Also along for the ride is an apparent Decepticon named "Megabull," per an early toy reveal, who some fans believe is an incarnation of Megatron. Prime and Bumblebee have designs resembling the "evergreen" incarnations of themselves based on both Generation 1 and the live-action movies, while Grimlock bears an aesthetic that's an altered take on his usual design and color scheme. Per the social media post, which might have been meant to attract press attention, the premise of the new Transformers: Cyberworld toy line is that various Transformers from different worlds are suddenly thrown into the same universe. Some of these are supposedly "well-known worlds," suggesting that past continuities and timelines from the franchise will be revisited.

Along with the toy line, there will also be a Transformers: Cyberworld animated series on YouTube that further explores these ideas. This series is "inspired by mecha anime," thus evoking the Japanese roots of the brand as a whole. Footage of this series and a closer look at the toy line will be shown by Hasbro at the upcoming Nuremberg Toy Fair. Hasbro's booth will be located in Hall A4, and the event itself takes place from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1. This comes as the brand is launching several new programs on YouTube, with some of these meant to gain a younger fan base. These include the new Transformers One: New Adventures series and Takara's Japanese Transformers: Wild King anime. The most recent TV show incarnation of the series, Transformers: EarthSpark, aired its third and possibly final season in October 2024.
