Latest Your Nerd Side Show:
When Daredevil: Born Again was first put into production, it was reported that the show would not feature Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson reprising their respective roles from Daredevil as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. However, after the show was given a creative reset, rumors emerged that Woll and Henson would be coming back for Born Again after all. Now, images from the filming location, shared by @WingFinn48 on X, strongly suggest that the two characters will indeed appear
No actors are shown in the set photos, but they reveal the plaque to the law office for Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock, and Karen Page. Other images reveal posters that have been put up for scenery, as well as artwork of Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk with the "Kingpin" moniker. Another photo shows that the project is filming under the code name "Out the Kitchen," likely referring to the show's setting of Hell's Kitchen.
Daredevil: Born Again Is Officially a Continuation of Daredevil
The original plan was for Daredevil: Born Again to serve as a soft reboot of Daredevil. While Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were returning as Daredevil and Kingpin, they were being treated as variants, giving Marvel Studios a way of bringing in the characters without necessarily acknowledging the storyline events of Daredevil. After the project was retooled during production, with new head writers coming on board, it was revealed that Born Againwill fully acknowledge the original series. Daredevil and its spinoffs are now officially seen as MCU canon as a result.
“During our restart of all the creative on Daredevil: Born Again, all the creatives got together and said, ‘Look, [acknowledging Daredevil] is how we’ve got to do it now,’” D’Onofrio told THR of the creative reset. “So we are for sure only speaking about it in terms of being directly connected to the original Daredevil, and that’s a great thing. It brings in a lot of cool stories and all the collateral story that happened in those original three seasons.”
Daredevil: Born Again doesn't have a set premiere date at this time, and the original series can currently be found streaming on Disney+.
