Cinemark Reveals First Look at Venom 3 Popcorn Bucket

Our latest show:

Venom fans will surely be raving over Cinemark's new popcorn bucket. The theater chain offered a sneak peek of the collectible on X, which showed a replica of the symbiote's head with a snap-open crown cover. The popcorn bucket's straightforward design is a novelty for its playful reference to the first film's "We Are Venom" scene, where the symbiote bit off a bad guy's head; Venom: The Last Dance audiences can recreate that sequence with buttered popcorn instead. The popcorn bucket will be available to purchase exclusively at Cinemark theaters, pending price details and release date.

Aside from the latest tie-in to Venom: The Last Dance's premiere, Cinemark also announced the launch of a drink cup and popcorn bucket, both with wraparound promotional labels. Another bucket variant has also piqued the fans' interest; a replica of Venom's bust with its gaping mouth serving as the snack access. The merch continues the long-standing tradition of launching novelty snack items and accessories to promote theatrical releases. Similar collectibles went naughty with the designs, such as the Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket; others were innocuous but were begging to be parodied, like the Dune: Part Two"sandworm" bucket.

Mounting Rumors of a Venom and Spider-Man MCU Crossover

Venom: The Last Dance completes the Venom trilogy, but there are mounting rumors that Tom Hardy is crossing over into the MCU to reprise his role as Eddie Brock. Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: Far From Home fueled crossover theories with their post-credits scenes, teasing a shared storyline between Hardy and Tom Holland's characters. Holland has at least addressed the possibility of Spider-Man 4 in an interview with ExtraTV: "All I'll say is as long as we can continue to elevate [Spider-Man's] character, as long as we can continue to do justice to him and make the films mean more and do better, then I'll be there," he asserted. "I'd be a fool to say I wouldn't."

Venom: The Last Dance is tracking to earn up to $120 million on its opening weekend, setting a record for the trilogy if the box office gross confirms predictions. Per the official synopsis, The Last Dance sees "Eddie and Venom on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie's last dance." Fans are already speculating over potential cameos, new symbiotes, and even a tease of an MCU connecting thread.

Venom: The Last Dance premieres in theaters on Oct. 25.
