Fandango's list of the ten "Most Anticipated Movies of 2025" has been revealed. Two MCU movies made the list, with one leading the pack by landing in the No. 1 spot.
As announced by Fandango, the leading online movie ticketing service in the U.S., Captain America: Brave New World has been declared as next year's most anticipated film. The rankings come from surveying over 9,000 ticket buyers sharing what they're most excited to see in theaters next year. The other MCU movie release of 2025, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is a few notches down at No. 5. Fans of James Gunn may also be surprised that the DCU film Superman is much lower on the list in comparison to Brave New World, though it still made the Top 10 with its spot at No. 9.
It's also worth noting that Hollywood continues to live through the era of remakes, reboots, and sequels. Every entry in the list is part of a franchise, suggesting filmgoers are largely most interested in continuations or reimagined versions of stories they are already familiar with. Just barely cracking the list at No. 10 is 28 Years Later following the recent release of its trailer. The full Top 10 list can be seen below.
