Per DC Comics, September 21 has officially been announced as Batman Day 2024, with the publisher planning to give fans a whole host of ways to celebrate their favorite Caped Crusader's 85th anniversary in comics. These include not just celebratory physical releases of various Batman media, but also exclusive digital and real-life experiences for fans who are lucky enough to enjoy them.

Participating comic book shops will have various anthologies and collected editions commemorating the event, including a Batman Day Deluxe Edition of Jeph Loeb and the late Tim Sale's iconic Batman: The Long Halloween, the very first issue of Batman The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween from Loeb and artists Eduardo Risso, Klaus Janson, and Mark Chiarello, and a Noir Edition of Tom King, Bryan Vaughns, and Lee Weeks' 2017 surprise hit one-shot - Batman/Elmer Fudd. For digital readers, the DC Universe Infinite platform will be offering a curated collection of Batman content without any need for users to make it past the usual paywall.

The set is comprised of 10 different animated features all in 4K ultra-high definition, including Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Year One, Batman: Assault on Arkham, Batman: The Killing Joke, Batman and Harley Quinn, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, Batman: Hush, Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Batman: The Long Halloween, andBatman: The Doom That Came to Gotham. The Batman 85th Anniversary Collection will be available beginning September 10.

For those lucky enough to celebrate Batman Day in Hollywood, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood will be holding a special after-hours screening of 1989's Batman starring Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger, and Jack Nicholson on the WB backlot. The event will coincide with the annual tradition of lighting up Bat-Signals all across the globe for Batman Day, with cities ranging from Rio de Janeiro to London to Tokyo and more taking part in the ceremony. As far as fans who can't make it out to any particular festivities are concerned, there is still a slew of other celebratory events to take part in at home, such as MultiVersus' special missions, rewards, and playable characters who will be available from October 1-15.
